1. These terms

These terms and conditions apply to every booking of the Toyota Fortuner 4x4 ("the vehicle") made with Quiver Car Rental ("we", "us", "our"), based in Swakopmund, Namibia. By submitting a booking, you ("the renter") agree to these terms. Where anything here is unclear, contact us before booking at quivercar@gmail.com or +264 81 808 9213.

2. Who can rent

• The renter must be at least 23 years old and hold a valid driver's licence that has been held for at least 2 years.
• A valid ID or passport, and a valid driver's licence, must be presented (with photos supplied) before the vehicle is handed over.
• Only the renter, or an additional driver agreed with us in writing before collection, may drive the vehicle.

3. Booking and rental period

• The minimum rental is three consecutive 24-hour periods. A rental day runs for a full 24 hours from your collection time, not to a calendar day.
• Unlimited kilometres are included for the duration of the rental.
• Handover and return take place in Swakopmund, at Hosea Kutako International Airport, or at Walvis Bay International Airport. Airport handover carries a fixed transfer fee, which is reflected in the day rate for that location.

4. Pricing, payment and deposit

• The day rate depends on your chosen pickup location. Your exact total is shown before you pay, on the final step of the booking form.
• At the time of booking you pay the full rental amount plus a refundable deposit of N$5,000 together, as one payment.
• The N$5,000 deposit is refunded in full after the vehicle is returned, provided there is no damage to the vehicle beyond normal wear and tear, no outstanding fines, and the vehicle is returned with the agreed fuel level.
• Where damage, loss, or unpaid fines exceed the deposit, the renter remains responsible for the difference.

5. Cancellations and changes

• Cancel 72 hours or more before your pickup time: full refund of the rental amount and deposit.
• Cancel within 72 hours of pickup, or fail to collect the vehicle at the agreed time: the deposit is refunded in full, but the rental amount is non-refundable, since the vehicle was held for you.
• Date changes are free of charge, subject to availability, if requested more than 72 hours before your original pickup time.

6. Using the vehicle

• The vehicle may not be taken across an international border without our prior written consent.
• The renter is responsible for all traffic fines, tolls and impound fees incurred during the rental.
• The vehicle must not be used to carry passengers or loads beyond its rated capacity, or for any unlawful purpose.
• The vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be returned with a full tank; a refuelling charge applies if it is not.

7. Insurance and liability

• Every vehicle carries passenger liability insurance.
• The refundable deposit described in section 4 acts as the damage excess for the rental.
• Quiver Car Rental is not liable for indirect losses (such as missed flights, accommodation, or activities) arising from a delay, breakdown, or change to your booking, beyond arranging a reasonable resolution such as a replacement vehicle or refund where appropriate.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia. Any dispute arising from a booking will be handled under Namibian law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example as our payment and booking process is finalised. The version in force at the time you complete your booking applies to that rental. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
